Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
Just wanted to share my experience with anyone who is interested in coming to Prague for their tummy tuck.
I cannot praise the Laderma Team enough. As soon as we stepped out of arrivals the driver was waiting and after driving me to the accommodation he showed me up to the suites which are just fantastic. I don't know if its just me but I think they have a lovely serene, peaceful feeling to them, ideal for resting. I then started reading the testimonial books which really puts your mind at ease and then had a walk around the centre of prague, which is absolutely beautiful.
On Monday I had 3 consultations, one from the nurse, blood pressure, ecg etc and then one from Dr Cerna herself who marks out what shes taking off your tummy and one from the GP. They were all very indepth and just lovely ladies, who will help you with anything. After consultations had a lovely dinner and took a bus tour round prague, then an early night for me.
On the morning of the surgery I walked up to the clinic which is jut a short walk away and changed into hospital gown. You can read here or watch dvds.
I then got a sleeping pill and the next thing I knew I was back in the room, saggy tummy off and in no pain whatsoever - I couldn't believe it. Yes, it's a little bit uncomfy, but no real pain at all. It's quite awkward and uncomfy getting in and out of bed but not really much pain. I'm so shocked at how easy the whole thing was especially as I was so nervous before hand. It's a big thing going for surgery, and even bigger going for it abroad, but I can't wait to tell everyone about how good this place is and I feel really proud of myself for going through with it as I wanted to chicken out a few times. I've not seen much of my tum yet, just had a wee glimpse when dr cerna was changing bandages and it was sooo good to see all that ugly skin removed - the dr said she removed 2kgs - is that nearly 4lbs???
I'm one day post op, hopefully i'll stay pain free like this throughout my stay here. Just really wanted everyone to know how fantastic the care is here and I am so pleased I made the right decision xxx bikinis here I come

I arrived safely home in Germany. We stopped in Cheb for lunch and in Mainz for dinner. "The girls' as we are calling my new breasts are doing very well. I am at work with no worries. I can write on the chalkboard with no problem as I have a board that slides up and down and I can keep my arms at my side.
I made arrangements to ride with someone to work. Driving is very hard...any time I have to turn. I would really emphasize that to patients.

First of all I would like to thank all of you for being so wonderful. The professionalism, thoroughness and kindness with which you treat people is fantastic. It was a real pleasure to meet everyone and I think it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made :).
As promised, today I have removed the cast, carefully cleaned things up as well as I could and am attaching some photos. Please let me know if these are okay or you need different shots. I am very happy with what I can see although the nose is a bit swollen - the swelling around the eyes has gone down lots and the bruising is much much better - and the improvement is noticeable. My beautiful nose!

Sorry for not confirming my safe return sooner. I was swept away with my girls upon my arrival to Germany last night. The trip home was awesome and feel great today. It is nice to be home with my family and familiar surrounding. Thank you for all your kindness during a trying time away from my loved ones...but it was all worth it, so happy with the results :) Look for some more fellow canucks at your clinic! (and hopefully me again before my return to Canada!)

Just a little note to say I'm back at work and feel great. I'm being very careful and I went to the doctor today (he is the head consultant gp on the island and a friend of my parents). He was so delighted he said it was the best work he had seen the symmertry was perfect and said that the healing process looked well after six weeks and he asked for Dr Cerna details to reccomend her to his patients and friends. Just thought I'd let you know how happy I am and will keep you posted how I'm getting on!

'I arrived at the Laderma Clinic on 19th October in preparation for a breast reduction and uplift. Travelling alone, I was a little apprehensive, but right from the moment I landed at the airport and was collected by Mr. Kozak any worries disappeared. My experience at the Laderma has been exceptional. The treatment afforded by all the staff has been fantastic. The standards of professionalism and care are second to none. The operation went smoothly and I felt no pain; the only discomfort being slight nausea after the anaesthetic.
My dressings were changed daily and any questions I had answered in careful detail. Everything has gone very well and I have been well cared for by Dr. Cerna and her team. It was a scary prospect coming from the North of Scotland to a strange country for a surgery but from the moment I landed in Prague (alone) things have been great.

After having a twin birth (it measured 60 inches = 145 cm) and then loosing an enormous amount of weight my stomach was devastating to look at. I hated it.
The care I received from start to finish was fantastic. Dr Cerna examined my stomach and was concerned there may be an existing hernia. Dr Cerna contacted her husband who is a general surgeon and he came to examine me. They were concerned that it may be intestinal tissue that had come through the hernia opening. Dr Cerna carried out the operation; it took her an hour to repair the hernia and another 2 hours to complete the tummy tuck operation. Dr Cerna gave me the opportunity to change my mind about the operation and advised me of all the associated risks involved with it. I went ahead with the operation and have been so happy and satisfied. The care of the nursing staff at the klinic was very professional and the klinic was extremely clean. Dr Cerna has a fantastic multi-disciplinary medical team all competent in their own area and each is valued.
The result - My stomach is wonderful, beautiful, awe-inspiring. I have had very little pain and have been given pain killers, sleeping tablets and aftercare instructions concerning my diet and cleaning of the wound when I return home etc.
At Laderma they have integrity, not there just to take your money but to value your health firstly above anything else. The care I have received has surpassed anything I could have been given in the UK. When I came here I said I was not expecting a miracle - well I certainly got one !

What can I say?
This clinic/service is one of the most personable I have come across.
I compared many reviews of various clinics and one of the concerns I had was about aftercare in England. I discussed this and I received assurances about the after care. The staff here are very approachable. Dr Singerova conducted my surgery which I am happy with.
One of the things I have been impressed with is the cleanliness and personalities of the hospital and hospital staff.
You are not treated as a number – you receive and excellent caring service. I wish all readers good luck and if you get a chance, please go and see Prague if you can!

I was here 4 years ago having an eyelift by Dr. Cerna. I was so pleased with the results I always said I would come back if I ever wanted my face done I would go nowhere else. And here I am back in Prague just had a face lift and am so happy. I could not believe there was no pain afterwards. The only discomfort I had was wearing these bandages covering my head but that was only for 4 days. Then off they came and now recovering from slight bruising and swelling. I would recommend Dr. Cerna and her team to anyone needing cosmetic surgery. They are so caring – patient and very attentive. I hope I don’t need to come back for more surgery but never say never (Don’t want to become obsessed by cosmetic surgery). I go home tomorrow feeling like 1.000.000 dollars.

I can’t believe we have to go home already. The 10 days my friend and I spent here were fantastic and time flew so fast.

15.5.2009 - Breast Enlargement
We arrived here May 10 for my breast lift and implant surgery. Mr Kozak was waiting for us when we arrived at the train station and was very friendly. I met with Dr. Cerna on Monday and she was wonderful, very good communicating with me about my desire for the operation. I went in to the clinic Tuesday and the staff was great, the nurses were very sweet and made sure I had everything I needed. Dr. Cerna and her staff have checked on me everyday since the surgery. She is very thorough and has worked hard to make my breast beautiful, which they are!! She makes sure all your questions are answered she has made sure I know that I can contact her after I am home. I was feeling so much better by Friday that I met with the dermatologist today and had botox done. She was wonderful. Her number is in the cell phone, great gift for yourself after surgery. Thank you Laderma staff !

17.4.2009 - Facelift
I came here with my husband to see for myself what Prague was like and also to introduce myself to Dr. Z. Cerna. I had my consultation and pre-op medical. My first impression was how professional and explanative of my face and neck lift Dr. Cerna was. Also, she was genuine and sensitive of my needs and so gentle. She explained my procedure in detail. I felt so at ease with her and her staff I had no hesitation to fly back to Prague and have the procedure.
I had the procedure carried out on Tuesday 7.30 am with no complications. I was introduced to the anaesthetist who was charming as were the nurses at the clinic who were very attentative ever through the night. Also, Dr. Cerna kept checking and changing my bandaged.
I left the clinic after 24 hours and my husband took me back to the lovely apartment with a terrace. I am now here four days and every day Dr. Cerna + Marketa call and take me into the surgery next door to have my bandages changed. I have not had any pain whatsoever; even though I was really apprehensive the first time I got my bandages changed. I have swelling but that is to be expected. Yesterday, 17/4 I went out for a walk with a scarf over my head and I felt great. I would have no hesitation recommending Dr. Cerna and her team at Laderma clinic Prague to any of my friends and family.
It is now 23rd April and it has now been nine days post op. Have bruising on my lower face and neck but can cover it with make-up. Every morning I have washed my hair and I feel it is getting better as each day passes. Every evening myself and my husband go out for a dinner and I don’t feel embarrassed as my bruises are covered with make-up. I still have no pain and can’t believe how well everything has went. No complications at all. I am still taking the anti-inflammation tabs for the swelling and putting the cream on my face for the bruising.
I am on my way out for a walk now. Weather has been wonderful. It is now Friday 24/04, my last day at Laderma. I am going out after I see Dr. Cerna for my daily check up. I will make the most of today and do some more sightseeing.

11.3.2009 - Facelift
Everything is looking great. A little bruising on my right jaw line (too much talking) but I am sure this will fade over the next few weeks together with the swelling. Still no pain, wounds are healing very well. I also had the two lines between my eyes filled last night so that’s everything complete now. Looking forward to going home tonight but I am indebted to Zuzana and her team for their hard work and constant attention.
I have just had my last consultation. Dr. Cerna removed some stitches + said everything was wonderful (I agree!!). To anybody reading my story, please have no fear or anxiety, there are so many wonderful people here.

8.3.2009 - Facelift
Hello, I arrived hereon Sunday 1st march with N. This is my second trip, last year in April I had an upper + lower eyelid removal and was so impressed I have come back for a face + neck lift. The op was on Tuesday 3rd, unbelievably no pain. My head bandage has been changed daily and today I have taken it of and washed my hair. That feels wonderful. I am a little swollen at the moment but after a third day from the op all starts improving. The accommodation is perfect and there are lots of shops + restaurants in the area. Dr. Cerna + Marketa are so caring and considerate as well as helpful, understanding etc. etc. Apart from the surgery you would think you are on holiday. I do have a little bruising on my neck with slight discomfort but no pain. N. went home yesterday, over the moon with her new boobies.

7.3.2009 - Breast Enlargement
Hello All,
I am here for a breast enlargement. I came here on Sunday night (01.03.09) accompanied by my mother in law to be who also had an operation planned (face lift).
The service has been excellent from start to finish. We were picked up on time at the airport and driven to our lovely accommodation.
On the Monday I went to a local clinic with Marketa for an ultrasound. Marketa explained the procedure and was very calming. Most of Monday was taken up by consultations and to discuss the operation with Dr. Cerna, who is a real gem.
Although I was very unsure + apprehensive, all the staff made you feel at ease.
On the Tuesday we went to the clinic for our ops. I was due to have my breast enlargement at 11 am and I was given medicine to ensure I was relaxed.
Once out from the op, I was looked after so well. I can not fault the clinic staff. Every other hour I was checked on throughout the 24 hour stay there.
From then till now (Saturday) I have slept and been able to relax in the comfort of the great accommodation.
I can truly say that Laderma looks after each and every patient and I would definitely recommend to all.

Hello.I first came to Laderma last May 08 for a tummy tuck and was so impressed with the results I’m back having breast uplift and upper and lower eyelid surgery.
I found the standard of care and cleanliness second to none and I have recommended many people to the surgery clinic here.
All you need to remember is do as you are told and everything will be fine. My boobs look like 17 years old so I’m very happy. Although I look as if I’ve been in a fight and lost I can still see a huge improvement in my eyes already!
Zuzana and her team are wonderful and I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay!

I came all away from Greece, an island called Crete. I am 47, had many years ago breast reduction but weren’t really happy about. So I try again. It was the best choice to come to Dr. Cerna and her team. So don’t worry you’re in very good hands. She and her staff will take care in a professional but sweet trusting way. Dr. Cerna has magic hands and a gift to understand what we and how we want it. A great doctor and a kind person!
Katerina and Marketa are little angels getting around and helping out in whatever way possible. Thank you so much! Poor Mr. Kozak had to pick me 6:00 in the morning but he was waiting for me. Thank you too. The clinic is well organized and doctors and nurses very friendly. Sorry that I don’t speak enough Czech. I wished I could have seen more of the city. Maybe next time. But definitely I would come to see Dr. Cerna ‘cause I know I would be in safe hands. She’s not just a high qualified doctor but also a good natured human being.

7.1.2009 - Breast Enlargement
Just had breast augmentation yesterday, all went well but sore first day but ok now. Staff brilliant in clinic first class. They pander to you everywhere. It’s an eye opener to the way we are treated here won’t get this kind of service back home. Everyone from Dr. Cerna down have treated us excellent. Suite fantastic. Dods to help fill time, now it’s the boring time, waiting.
I saw my breast yesterday when they removed bandages look great, bandages back up till Friday now can’t move arms much but that’s just small inconvenience. Boyfriend had facelift he is doing well and looks great. Met Katerina today lovely, Marketa, Dr. Cerna they all wonderful. Friday already won’t see anyone till Monday. I need them as they will come straightaway bless them.

30.11.2008 - Eyelid Surgery
30/11/08 – 8/12/08
Going home tomorrow, can’t wait for stitches out, me and my husband had his + hers eye lift, while D. felt very slightly pain, I felt a bit more in my left eye, had more fat then him! But was over in seconds and Dr. Cerna told when to expect pain, was looked after very well, Dr. Cerna so warm + caring you would not get this in H. (and it’s half the price). I have more swelling and bruising but going down daily + can see differences already. Go by the book and you’ll be on the road to recovery. I myself will be back for neck + face lift next year. I would not go anywhere else after being here, D. will come back with me to look after me, he’s looking forward to me not being able to talk!!! For 3 days.

11.11.2008 - Facelift
6.45 am – V. has just left to go to the clinic to have op. My name is C and I ma here to care for her post op. V. will take up this narrative in her own wads after 3 days have passed as Dr. Cerna has told us that she is advised not to speak that long afterwards, no turn her head and she has to sleep sitting up to allow the drainage. If you knew V., being told not to speak for an Hour would have her in a big biz! She’s first on the table this morning and the op will take about 2 hours or so. The clinic will ring me to let me know how it went. The fridge is stocked wit pro-biotic yoghurts + fruit juice as for the next few days V. will be “liquids only”.
The staff here really are great – I stupidly forgot to bring my tablets and the GP who checked V. even yesterday gave me a prescription for them – cost about 165K.
2 days after op! No pain at all. Not allowed to talk or move head for 3 days. Borrowed a blender from Laderma so drinking lots of smoothies and soup through a straw. Must drink plenty of water – at least 3 litres every day. Bandages changed today.
10 days after op and all the stitches are out. Still some swelling and slight bruising around the neck but nothing that concealer cannot hide. Dr. Cerna very pleased.
Rule 1 – do everything Dr. Cerna tells you to do – keep still, don’t talk and move your head whilst you are healing.
Rule 2 – drink lots of water and smoothies.
Rule 3 – use the ice packs!
Have to email Dr. Cerna photos in 3-4 months when the full effect will be apparent.
They really offer the best of care here – ENJOY!

Had tummy tuck on 16th Sept. Dr. Cerna and Marketa are wonderful, everything went well, feel good, had eye bad upper and lower done in June, and, when I need a face lift I know where I will be coming, so if anyone reading this has any fear, don’t, you are in the very best hands.

This has been the best experiences for us both. The service has been excellent. Dr Cerna, Marketa and Katerina have been amazing. We expected to be in a lot of discomfort and pain so we feel amazing as we’ve had very little pain, healing very quickly. It has been brilliant!!!

Thank you for the fantastic boobs you’ve given me. Now I can hold my head high and take on the world with my big E cups size. Going from a B, I was a tadpole in the ocean, now I’m a fish too big to fry!!! Thank you so much you’ve changed me forever.

7.2008 - Tummy Tuck
Thank you. What a perfect set up. Every little detail or concern as you may think of has already been considered or addressed. I travelled alone and had abdominoplasty, muscle repair and lipo and received excellent friendly service. The nurses in the clinic were great too spoke more English than I expected. Larrisa the Botox Dr is lovely too, look at her face and guess her age!!! She is her own advent.

Face lift, upper and lower eyelid surgery
I feel I have been really well looked after by the Laderma team and I would like to thank everyone involved.
Try to get out and about using the public transport system. For the equivalent of just over one pound you can have unlimited use of buses, trams and metro for one day. (Tram is not such a good idea if you have had boob job or tummy tuck!!)
Prague Zoo is worth a visit – a lot of walking involved though.
Local shop, out of the main building and turn left, is very good for fresh fruit and is much cheaper than Tesco’s Express.
If I do decide on more surgery I would definitely come back here. Maybe some lipo next year??

25.5.2008 - Eyelid Surgery
25-5-08 – 2-6-08, aged 50, upper and lower eyelid surgery
Hi, I am leaving today, 6 days post op and waiting for Dr. Cerna to arrive and remove stitches.
My overall impression of my Prague experience will be how professional, caring, friendly, kind and welcoming Dr. Cerna, Marketa and the team have been.
The idea of a local anaesthetic terrified me but it was soon over I was back at the apartment. I have my good friend J. with me throughout and thank goodness because it is important to stick to the instructions wearing and changing the dressings, taking medications as recommended which would be impossible to do without a caring friend. I was visited every day by both Dr. Cerna and Marketa, because my left eye was much more swollen and bloodshot. Dr. Cerna arranged a specialist eye surgeon to attend and reassure me all was OK and normal. On the 3rd post op day after the all clear from Dr. Cerna I ventured out to explore Prague. I would strongly recommend venturing out towards the old town, Charles bridge, The Palace/Castle and most definitely beyond to the Petrin area of the city for views, clean air and peace. If you can’t manage this post op I would strongly recommend doing this before. Wenceslas square is only worth spending a visit if you want to shop the high street shops.
Tips: Food.
The corner shop to the left is fantastic for fresh fruit, veg and all the basics. Tesco express is also only 5 mins walk away.
Taxis
Be careful and agree a price before travelling from the apartment to the old town should cost around 200 kc.
Restaurants and bars
Check prices as they vary greatly from place to place.
Overall it has been a really positive experience and I can’t wait to the end result.

11.5.2008 - Breast Enlargement
11th May 2008 – 16th May 2008
After months of research I decided on Laderma for my breast augmentation and arrived on the 11th May with my partner. At first I was worried about language differences but both Marketa and Dr. Cerna spoke perfect English and were always available when needed.
After the necessary tests on Monday we spent the rest of the day sightseeing and came across a lovely tex mex eatery called Buffalo Bill (The menu was in English).
Anyway more to the point, the surgery went well, the clinic was beautiful…better than any hospital I’ve been in back home. Modern and contemporary (and extremely clean!) only downside was that the nurses didn’t speak much English. Tho I was paired up with a British girl in for the same surgery which helped.
Woke feeling quite uncomfortable with chest pain but meds are continuously topped up which helps
Overall the standard of care and professionalism are great. I wouldn’t fault Dr. Cerna or her team at all.

4.2008 - Facelift
F., age 46, face - neck lift
Hi, I came to Prague 6-4-08 with my Mum. I am having a face + neck lift. My operation is on 8th April. I feel very nervous. Marketa made me feel very welcome and very relaxed. Dr. Cerna is fab, it’s like talking to one of your friends. You really don’t feel she is a surgeon.
Well, day after my op looking good, feel no pain yet. 2nd day!! Still feel good, been to have my nails done across the road. 3rd day a bit of swelling and bruising. Just a little discomfort. Sat 5th day bandaging off, washing my hair, stay tend.
Sun 6th day.
So good moving to apartment, it has a balcony, Sun is shining. So will have to end here but must say looking good only 4 days past op.
So eat your heart out 10 years younger!!
Dr. Cerna and her team are saints.

The Laderma team are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble and you can be happy in the knowledge that you are in good hands.
The accommodation is fantastic and the location very good in getting out and about.
The restaurant Matylda – just down the road comes highly recommended both in the way of food and staff, we have enjoyed some good meals there.
