Breast Asymmetry Correction
If a woman has breasts that are of a different size and shape, corrective surgery is performed to harmoniously equalize the size and shape of the breasts. As a general rule, either a reduction of the overly large breast or the placement of a silicone implant in the smaller breast is performed. However, in most cases, the ptosis must be corrected, the other breast lifted and the nipple-areola complex must be relocated in order to achieve an even result.
Breast asymmetry corrections can equalize breasts of different sizes or shapes. It is performed under general anesthesia and lasts 1.5-2 hours. In general, the shape of the other breast must also be matched at the same time. The results are immediately visible and long-lasting. A return to work is possible two weeks following the surgery.
